What we do

Some of our community uplift programs include:

Community Outreach

Chosen to Serve has an entry to community outreach programs all over NE Florida. We operate multiple mobile services all across the region. We have set up mobile libraries to improve reading comprehension skills among the youth in Duval, Baker, Bradford, and Clay. Homeless populations are also occasionally provided free dental and basic health services to improve their well-being. Mental health is also a major concern and is intrinsically linked to overall well-being, which is why Chosen to Serve has plans to provide mental health services on an individual and community basis. The primary aim of our community outreach programs is to bring members of the community closer together so we can all work together in harmony to assist one another.

Food Drives

Soup kitchens and meal drives are held frequently to ensure that a maximum number of people are fed. Specific emphasis is placed on child nutrition so kids can grow up healthy. Meals are prepared using fresh ingredients so individuals can get food no matter their circumstances. Food drives involve everyone and anyone can volunteer. This is great for communal cohesion and creates a wonderful atmosphere within the society.

Awareness classes

We ensure that people are well aware of their rights and responsibilities so they can become better citizens of society. Awareness is also key in helping people realize all the opportunities they may have available so they can stay focused. This includes career counseling so young people can identify their future path in life and not get involved in a life of crime.
