Help Chosen to Serve save lives and improve OUR Community

Lending a Helping Hand

There is no denying that the most vulnerable segment of society are children and the elderly, and are feeling the brunt of economic hardship in this region.

This is why we are here to alleviate some of the pressure and assist those struggling families and the elderly to make ends meet and help them find a way out of poverty. Chosen to Serve is committed to building a strong and resilient community through charitable efforts. The idea is to empower the population of Baker, Bradford, Duval, and all other counties in the Northeast Florida region so economic growth can occur and prosperity is achieved.

What we do

Some of our community uplift programs include:

Community Outreach

Chosen to Serve has access to community outreach programs all over NE Florida. We assist people experiencing homelessness with the necessities to survive on the streets and families with children who have no meals to eat with groceries, school supplies, and training. Chosen to Serve also has an outreach for older adults and people with disability in nursing homes, letting them know we care and they matter across the region.

Food Drives

Specific emphasis is placed on nutrition in families with children raised in impoverished environments so they may receive the appropriate amount of nutrition so kids can grow up healthy. Chosen to Serve takes donations of non-perishable food items and provides groceries for a meal.

Awarness Programs

Chosen to Serve provides coaching on understanding brain health, mental health, and Biblical counseling. We ensure that people are well aware of their rights and responsibilities to become better citizens of society.

North East Florida - A Snapshot

North East Florida, the region consisting of Baker, Bradford, Clay, Duval, and Nassau counties, is a part of Florida that has received little attention. As a consequence, the region suffers from underdevelopment and neglect which further compounds the issue. Statistics indicate that the median annual income for North East Florida averaged (See number on side).

While poverty has declined from 16.1% to 14.4%, the truth is that 24% of children below the age of 5 years reside in households that fall below the poverty line as defined by the Federal government.
